Bookclub Without Banners!

If you know me, you know how much I like to obsess over works of film and literature for periods of time. As I finish the four written books and see the HBO adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, I decided to reread the series again with my best friend M. She lives halfway across the country, so we've been communicating by text as we read and watching episodes of the show at the same time. My boyfriend A and my discussions of ASOIAF make up at least 30% of our total conversations. As I re-opened my Twitter account to discuss my thoughts and theories on the series (rhymes!) and the television show premiered, I found out more of my friends (a coworker, N in particular) were willing to read the books. High on the fumes of purchasing a Kindle, I have been rereading A Game of Thrones on my e-reader, phone, listening to the recording from audible.com and thumbing though the paperback, having thoughts that need instant immortalization at all times. So! This is the "Book Club Without Banners", where I chronicle the process of reading these books again with my boyfriend and two of my closest friends. Enjoy!

so i've decided that if i'm going to compulsive about something (and i'm obviously going to be), it can't be drugs, it can't be drinking, it can't be shopping, it can't be theft, it can't be gambling, it can't be sex (only some of these things have been true, for the record). it's going to have to be

i bought myself a game card and bought the wrath of the lich king expansion. i'm pretty sure i'm going to move to a new server, but Pooemelon is once more. honestly, it makes ME happy, and as morgan said, why not?

alright kids. it's late. and i'm bored with being lonely. either someone is going to step up (unlikely) or i am going to join some dating website. the only problem with these sites: they require that they specify if you're looking for a lady or dude. why??? aren't all the best people bisexual? aren't MOST people bisexual? very unuseful.

anyone who watches rock of love bus...
all of the new girls were obviously dressed up ugly and can easily dress up rocknroll/slutty. i like jamie because we have the same hair. but don't assume because we like watching dumb bitches on this show that WE the viewers are dumb.
